DIY

Votives

Picture
I used ribbon and permanent double sided tape for these. I tried not to get any two the same but it might have happened.

Damask Votives

Picture
I got the template from a gal on weddingbycolor.com and printed it on mylar paper then taped it with permanent double sided tape. If you want the template let me know.

Door Hangers

Picture
Found the actual hangers from Michael's for $1, painted them, and found a package of Bridal stickers to decorate.

Tissue Pomandors

Picture
I was going to make a TON of these. But then I realized how much time they take and decided against it. I bought them instead!

LOVE IS SWEET

Picture
These are going on our cake table.  You can't tell right now but they have a littlte bit of sparkle on them...not to much but jut enough!

LOVE Signs

Picture
I found these at Michael's for $1 each. I painted them our colors and decorated them with rhinestones.

Table Numbers

Picture
I liked these table numbers but changed them a little to make them ours.

My Numbers

Picture
This is what I have so far. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to spray them with an acrylic lacquer to make them shine. I'll keep you posted.

Centerpieces

Picture
We decided to do 25 white roses. They will be a 4.5x4.5 round vase with white flower petals.

Wish bowl

Picture
This is the bowl (vase) that we are going to use instead of a traditional guest book. I need to take the sticker off the bottom, but other than that it's good to go!

Wish bowl set up

Picture
This will be the set up. I'm thinking I'll grab some cheap plain white bic pens and cover them with my damask tape. If I don't do that I'll just grab some pens that write good! Oh the poem in the picture frame reads:

Instead of a guestbook
stuck in a drawer,
The newlywed couple
thought we would do more.

As we begin our journey –
A brand new Mr. and Mrs.
We surely could use
Your advice and good wishes.

Share with us your wisdom
About marriage love and life.
The secret to being a good husband
Or a fantastic wife.

Jot down a memory,
A reminder of our day.
A doodle or picture will do
If you don’t know what to say.

Please don’t forget –
For it would be such a shame
Don’t put your card in the bowl
Without signing your name.

Whatever you pen,
We’re sure to treasure.
Long after this day has passed,
Your words will bring us pleasure

Bubbles

Picture
I did 100 of these little jerks. It only took about 2 1/2 hours. Once I got a system down I was able to go pretty fast.

Memory candle

Picture
We decided to leave this very simple. The less is more approach. The poem reads:

Though your smile is gone forever,
And your hands we cannot touch,
Still we have so many memories,
Of the ones we loved so much.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part,
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
Although we cannot see you
We know that you are here
Smiling down, watching over us
As we say "I do".
Forever in our hearts,
Forever in our lives,
And so we say our vows
In loving memory of you.

Card box

Picture
I found this at Michael's. It originally had black ribbon, I took that out and replaced it with the pink. I still think I want to add some sparkles or a little something to the "Cards" sign. I think it needs something.

Bathroom Baskets

Picture
I think I want to add a trim of pink ribbon where the fabric and basket meet. Inside each basket there are:
deodorant
lent roller
body spray
tissues
tums
sewing kit
shout wipes
q-tips
first aid kit
lotion
Tylenol and Advil
gel/moose
nail file, clippers, tweezers

Bridesmaids Gifts

Picture
Each girl will be getting a bag with her name on it and inside she will get: a wine glass with her initials on it, emergency kit (see below) tissues with their initials, personalized stationary, first aide kit, spa slippers and mask in their favorite color, pearl initial that I'm going to hang on the handle of the bag, and a bracelet I got from The Knot store in their favorite color of swaraski crystals and pearls with their initials on the silver dangle thing. . I haven't made their t-shirts (or tank tops) that are going to say Bridesmaid on it. Also, I'm going to add lotion, bath gel, and body spray in the favorite scent from Bath and Body Works.

Jr. Bridesmaids Gift

Picture
Similar to the BM gifts, but instead of a wine glass they are getting regular glasses. They are also getting a personalized picture frame I made and a cute necklace holder. I will also include the stuff from Bath and Body works and a t-shirt with Bridesmaid on it too.

BM Braclets

Picture
I didn't make these, but they are a gift and thought that I'd include them in the gift section of the DIY page. I bought them fro The Knot store when they were on sale for $10. Each girl has one in her favorite color with her initial on the dangle part.

Bridesmaids Emergency kits

Picture
Each BM is getting one of these. Inside there is a nail file, lent roller, doedarant, safety pins, hair spray, lotions, Shout wipes, Q-tips, chapstick, and Tylenol.

Bridesmaids tank tops

Picture
I got these iron ons from Michaels and I think they look good. I got a tank in each girls' favorite color. I thought it would be cute to wear these while we are getting ready, but of course they don't have to if they don't want to!

Ring bearer's Frame

Picture
I found all the raw wooden parts (frame, letters, and the "Pow") from Hobby Lobby. Painted them and glued them on.

Flower Girls Bags Front

Picture
I found iron-on letters and spelled out their names. The swirl was an iron-on that I found too.

Flowers Girls Bags Back

Picture
The back says "Flower Girl". This is an iron-on I found from Michael's. I will fill the bags with crayons, toys from the dollar section at Michael's, and cute dress up jewelry.
